CivicsCivics Students Work Recognized by Horry County Council
Through Project Citizen, Civics students identified texting and driving as a significant community issue.  As a part of their community action, the group would like to see the State Legislature to take action to pass a law against this dangerous act.  Tre'Dessa Smalls presented to the HC Council's Public Safety Commission in April.  At the May 1 Council meeting, a resolution was passed by HC Council asking the State Legislature to pass a law that would prevent texting and driving.
